Massage Therapy

Deep Tissue Massage

What It Is:

Deep Tissue Massage targets deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It’s designed to break up adhesions (commonly called “knots”), reduce chronic muscle tension, and restore natural movement.

What To Expect:

Some intensity is normal, and you may feel sore afterward- similar to a good workout. Communication is important and pressure will always be adjusted to your comfort level.

Myofascial Release (MFR)

What It Is:

Myofascial Release is a gentle, sustained technique that works with the fascia- a web of connective tissue that wraps around every muscle, bone and organ. When fascia becomes restricted due to trauma, inflammation, or poor posture, it can cause pain and limited movement.

What To Expect:

The work is subtle but deep. Many clients report a sense of “unwinding” or a deep internal shift. It is very relaxing and effective, especially those who don’t respond well to deep pressure.

Trigger Point Therapy

What It Is:

Trigger Point Therapy targets small, hyperirritable sports in muscle tissue that can refer pain to other areas. These “trigger points” often develop due to injury, overuse, or muscle imbalance.

What To Expect:

Firm, focused pressure is applied to the trigger point using fingers, knuckles, or elbows. This can deactivate the point, reduce pain, and restore normal muscle function. Sometimes passive or active movement is incorporated. You may feel pressure replicate a familiar ache, or even pain in a different area.

Sports Massage

What It Is:

Sports Massage is a performance-oriented approach designed to help athletes and active individuals enhance performance, recover faster, and prevent injury. It can be customized for pre-event, post-event, or maintenance care.

What To Expect:

Techniques vary depending on your activity level and goals. A session may include deep tissue work, assisted stretching, or range-of-motion techniques.

CranioSacral Therapy (CST)

What It Is:

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach that works with the craniosacral system – the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord. Its especially effective for calming the nervous system and supporting the body’s natural healing process.

What To Expect:

This work is very still and quiet. Some clients fall asleep or enter a meditative state. You can remain fully clothed for this therapy. This work can feel subtle, but the effects often go deep, leaving you grounded, calm, and more connected to your body.
